LOCAL HOTSPOTS: FEBRUARY EDITION
The Cardiff food scene is most certainly on the rise. There is now a huge selection of places to get great quality food and service for a reasonable price, that you no longer need to go far to seek out something independent and unique. With that in mind, look no further than my picks for February's local hotspots....
Having only recently opened in the city centre, Munchesters provides the perfect stop-off for a quick bite to eat. The creation of chef Anand George, Munchesters serve fresh wraps and cakes to hungry shoppers looking for a quick lunch, or nearby office workers seeking out an alternative to supermarket bought sandwiches. It was even chosen on this blog as one of the top 5 places to eat in Cardiff.
Hang Fire Smokehouse at The Lansdowne
Right at the tail end of Canton, The Lansdowne is the current home of much-loved pop-up Hang Fire Smokehouse. There is a bit more of a family friendly setting than previous home, The Canadian, but the food is still as good as ever, and if the opening night is anything to go by - getting there early is key.
I hope you have chance to visit my picks for February. I'd love to hear what you thought about them!
